My passion for talent development began during my undergraduate studies while working in my university’s career center, where I learned firsthand the importance of building strong professional skills. After landing my first corporate role less than one month post-graduation, my interest in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition deepened as I progressed through my corporate career and supported jobseekers at various levels in securing roles aligned with their goals and salary expectations.

 

During this time, I observed a recurring issue: beyond existing racial and economic disparities, many capable candidates lacked access to essential professional skills such as resume development, interview preparation, and workplace etiquette. While supporting hiring processes, I was not always positioned to provide the direct guidance these individuals needed - resulting in missed opportunities for otherwise qualified and motivated talent.

 

I also witnessed a parallel challenge: employers struggling to identify aligned, prepared candidates, and jobseekers struggling to effectively showcase their potential and identify great places to work.
